Leeds Castle launches new family accommodation for enchanting escapes

Nestled in the heart of Kent and renowned for its rich history and diverse range of on-site attractions, Leeds Castle has unveiled details of its new Knights’ Retreat family accommodation. Due to open on 18th July 2025, the accommodation has been designed to spark the imagination of guests both young and old.

The eight whimsical lodges are stowed away within the castle’s idyllic 500-acre grounds, and were inspired by thirteenth-century owner Queen Eleanor of Castile’s vision for a ‘Castle of Delights’.

Named after mythical creatures such as the Basilisk, Minotaur, and Gryphon, these fairy-tale lodges provide the perfect base from which to explore the delights of the Leeds Castle estate. Guests staying in a Knights’ Retreat lodge benefit from complimentary access to the breathtaking Castle and its magnificent grounds. This includes a captivating maze and underground grotto, the Birds of Prey Centre, three thrilling play areas for younger visitors, and the all-new multi-media tours.

Each of the cosy lodges, including the two accessible lodges, are fully equipped with all the modern conveniences needed to ensure a comfortable stay. Sleeping up to five people, each feature an open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area perfect for cooking up a simple feast, relaxing or playing games. There is also a bathroom suite with shower, electricity via main sockets, wall-mounted smart television and Wi-Fi.

For a completely hassle-free stay, the castle’s on-site restaurant, The Castle View Restaurant, is available for lunch, dinner, and cream teas every day. A children’s menu is also available.

Priced from £69 per person, Knights’ Retreat offers a fully self-catered experience for guests all year round.

Knights’ Retreat is now available for bookings from 18th July: https://leeds-castle.com/stay/knights-retreat/
